چکیده

PurposeTo compare the performance of dominant and nondominant hand during fundamental arthroscopic simulator training.MethodsSurgical trainees who participated in a 2-day training course between 2021 2023 were classified, according to their experience beginners competents. Only right-handed individuals with complete data sets included study. Ambidexterity was trained using box trainer (Fundamentals Arthroscopic Surgery Training, Virtamed AG, Schlieren, Switzerland). Two tasks, periscoping for learning camera guidance triangulation additional instrument handling, performed 4 times then hand. For each task, exercise time, path length, length recorded analyzed.ResultsOut 94 participants 74 (22 females, 52 males) classified novices (n = 43, less than 10 independently arthroscopies) competents 31, more arthroscopies). Competents significantly better novices. No significant difference found after changing guiding from regarding length. Notably, tasks even faster when hand.ConclusionsOur demonstrate that learned manual skills basic are quickly transferred contralateral side. In consequence, handling not necessary.Clinical RelevanceFor skillful arthroscopy, handing must be equally mastered both hands. It is important understand how dominance may affect training. To Surgical analyzed. Out Our necessary.

Does Core Stability Training Affect Fundamental Movement Skills in Low Proficiency Children? Evaluation of Performance Process

The present study investigated the effects of 8-weeks of core stability training on fundamental movement skills in children with low proficiency in both locomotor and object control skills. By using a semi-experimental research design. 30 elementary boy students (means age= 8.89 years, SD= 1.06) were recruited and organized in training (n= 15) and control group (n=15). Fundamental movement skil...

Simulation-based training of surgical skills

First of all, it is important to acknowledge that simulation-based training cannot replace traditional apprenticeship training. New surgical trainees must be supervised by more experienced colleagues during their first real procedures just as simulator trained pilots start out as co-pilots. Furthermore, we need to rethink the extreme focus on simulation equipment that has been the hallmark of t...

Effects of Task Related Training and Hand Dominance on Upper Limb Motor Function in Subjects with Stroke

Objetives: Recovery of upper limb motor function in stroke is limited. Different approaches are used to improve the upper limb function, but none has satisfactory results. The present study investigated the effect of task related training and role of hand dominance in upper limb motor function rehabilitation in stroke population. Methods: A convenient sample of 32 subjects divided into 4 gro...
